Boonie Stomps - MOONIE STOMP - Anao

We hike out to the overlook for great viewsof the shoreline and cliffs, then descend down the cliff and over to Sherwood Forest for a fireside gathering to roast marshmallows and hot dogs. A short trip over to the push-suck cave is an option Bring: HEADLIGHT or flashlight, 2 quarts water, sturdy hiking shoes, gloves, and insect repellent. Special conditions: A steep hill to descend and climb, mosquitoes, and hiking over rough sharp rocks.

Boonie Stomps - Mt. Schroeder to Inarajan

We make the long, steep, slippery climb up to the open summit of Mt. Schroeder with its outstanding views, climb steeply down to traverse the oven, climb steeply up to Atete, and make the long hike out to Inarajan Falls and finally Inarajan. Bring: 4 quarts water, hiking shoes, gloves, sunscreen, insect, lunch and snacks, and camera. Special conditions: Sword grass, little shade, a lot of climbing, and a seriously long hike.

Boonie Stomps - Mt. Jumullong-Manglo Loop

We hike up the wide but sometimes steep trail to the large crosses on top of the mountain next to Mt. Lamlam to enjoy fantastic 270-degree views. We then continue our hike down the sword grass lined southern mountain trail to the steep downhill slopes of the rain gauge trail. Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking shoes, gloves, sunscreen, lunch, and camera. Special conditions: Sword grass, rough rocks, and steep slopes.

We take the steep Ben’s Falls down trail up to the false summit of Mt. Lamlam, take the difficult trail over to the true summit, then continue on through sword grass to the rim trail and the cave. Those who still have energy can explore the maze and beyond. Bring: 4 quarts water, hiking boots, gloves, sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent, and camera. Special conditions: Sword grass, rough rocks, and steep slopes.

We go to hell! We travel the open ridge of the Southern Mountains, with excellent views the whole way. We then traverse over to Mt. Sasalaguan with its outstanding views, before heading steeply down to the Ija road. Bring: 4 quarts water, hiking shoes, gloves, sunscreen, lunch and snacks, and camera. Special conditions: Lots of sword grass, little shade, a lot of climbing, and a very long hike.

We descend the long fairly steep northwest cliff line to a beautiful isolated cove ideal for jumping, swimming, snorkeling, and possible reef walking if the water is calm. We’ll also visit the petroglyph cave and try the rope swing. Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking shoes, swim suit, snorkel gear, gloves, sun screen, insect repellent, lunch, and camera. Special conditions: A steep slope to ascend and a few rough rocky trail areas.

We hike north along the beaches and headlands of the northwest coast to visit the mushroom rocks, the ancient village of Hila’an with its latte stones, sharks hole were the snorkeling is excellent is the water is clam, and the cool freshwater pool of Lost Pond. Bring: 2 quarts water, hiking shoes, swim suit, snorkel gear, sun screen, insect repellent, lunch, and camera. Special conditions: Hiking over some rough rocks and in the water.
